The benefits of Peruvian Seabird Guano tea

Peruvian Seabird Guano is an excellent all natural organic fertilizer. It’s high levels of Nitrogen and Phosphorus along with its micronutrient content  make it one of the best natural fertilizer available. In its pelletized form it is a great product to broadcast on the ground around your plant and let natural rainfall or watering gradually release it’s nutrients into the soil. Seabird Guano tea is an great  way to get lower doses of the material into the soil and absorbed directly into the plants roots very quickly. It can also be used as a foliar fertilizer that can be sprayed on the plant and be absorbed through the plants leaves. Seabird Guano tea is very good at quickly correcting nutrient deficiencies that are noticed during the plants growth cycle.

To make Seabird Guano tea mix 1-2 tablespoons of pelletized Peruvian Seabird Guano into 1 gallon of water, shake it up and let it sit for at least 12 hours before use. It can then be poured directly around the plants roots for an immediate boost of nutrients to the plant. This can be used weekly or every other week. It is also very beneficial to the microorganisms that live in the soil and help with the absorption of nutrients to the plant roots. The process can be repeated with the undissolved guano that settles in the bottom for a slightly weaker version of the tea. This  weaker material works very well for a foliar spray that can be absorbed directly through the plants leaves.

Please remember that more is not always better with this or any fertilizer. Too much of a good thing can easily burn a plants roots and kill the plant so don’t over use it or increase the amount of guano per gallon past 3 tablespoons per gallon to avoid harming the plant,

Using Peruvian Seabird Guano to optimize the growth and quality of Asparagus plants

Peruvian Seabird Guano is a great natural fertilizer to use when growing asparagus plants. The high Nitrogen content of this natural organic fertilizer is perfect for encouraging strong, healthy growth and enhanced flavor in this perennial plant. It is best used by distributing 1 to 2 cups of the seabird guano around the area where the shoots are emerging in early spring. As it rains the pellets will gradually release their nutrients into the soil and encourage vigorous growth. Applying Seabird Guano along with an organic mulch such as compost or leaves and will ensure that your asparagus patch will increase in quality each year. Asparagus is a very heavy user of nitrogen so the readily available nitrogen along with the beneficial soil organisms Seabird Guano provides helps the plant reach its full potential. A healthy asparagus patch can produce it’s healthy shoots for over 20 years if properly harvested and maintained. The key’s to keeping it producing at it’s best are a healthy organic soil, a heavy application of organic mulch, proper fertilization and a harvesting period that does not last much longer then early to mid June. Not overly extending the harvesting period helps the plant to produce and store the nutrients in the plants roots which will produce the crop for the following year.

Peruvian Seabird Guano For Organic Medical Marijuana

Peruvian Seabird Guano has been used for growing Marijuana since at least the early 1960’s. The high Nitrogen and Phosphorous content of this natural fertilizer along with the trace element content it contains makes it an ideal fertilizer for growing Organic Medical Marijuana. In addition to its high nutrient content its unique composition supports the growth of beneficial soil organisms which work to make the nutrients more available to the plant. It is best applied sparingly away from the stem after the plant roots have been established. Regular applications of seabird guano throughout the growth period will maximize the production of essential oils the plant produces and ensure maximum potency. Be carefull since too heavy of an application to the plant early in its growth cycle can harm the plant. For best results the plant should receive supplemental fertilization with a high phosphorous bat guano after it has begun to flower and throughout the flowering process.
